Hey all, new member checking in. I'm pretty new to 240's as I just bought my first one in July but I have always loved them. So yeah...I'm a n00b and I have a lot to learn. I need all the help and advice I can get.
Some people up here may know me from another thread (vadriven-BLACK95X) I'm getting very anxious as she's almost back on the road. I'll be wanting to buy some inexpensive coilovers asap.
Here is my car as of this past weekend. The "Dropjawmag.com" and "Dipset racing" decals were on it when I got it, I scraped them off. I bought it in rough shape, the head had been off for months so here we are now with a rebuilt engine going in. I am only 17 trying to save up for school in August (NTI) so I'm on an extremely tight budget, but I'm trying.
And here's me. Yeah, the tall lanky goofy bastard.

What kind is that? A newbie? Oh well...I gotta start somewhere.
And yeah, I was led onto Drag from some Honda guys around the area, but that forum doesn't help me much unless I need some parts nearby or something. Figured I could learn a lot more here.
welcommmmme ^_^
are u rebuilding it for daily driving?
i see you're in the nc/va border~ have u gone to VIR before?
Nice ride. welcome to the boards. Are you staying with the single cam(hardcore)?
noice, another 17 year old.
welcome
Welcome to the forums and good luck with NTI.

nissan motorsports makes an ITB setup for ka24e ( non dohc)
I figured youd make your way over here eventually, youll find theres ALOT less drama here.
and alot less posts
Thanks guys, and for now yes it is just for a daily. I will stick with the SOHC for a while. The ITB setup does sound cool, definitely like to check that out. I'd like to possibly turbo a single cam in the future, something different. My goal is just to get it running and be pretty reliable so I can drive while at school. I have a rebuilt engine and a smooth tranny with a brand new stage 1 exedy street clutch. (came with the car) All I have planned now is to lower it big time and find some affordable tires and rims. Working on a mega tight budget...
I have another hatch that I would like to build for the drag strip when I get out of school, but I'm not sure about drivetrain yet. I like the thought of an RB20, but I also think it would be cool to squeeze in a cabureted small block Ford. I dunno, it's just sitting there for now as a parts car. Either build it for drag or just put a fresh single cam in it and try autocross.
Oh and no I've never been to VIR. I've never been to any drifting/autocross events or any kind of show where there were many 240's. I hope to get my car back on the road within the next few weeks and possibly find a meet or something to check things out and maybe meet some people that can help me out with some things on the 240.
