I gave you the phone number to MA-Motorsport(the shop installing the ECU and Harness)and Electormotive tech support so you could confirm my what I was telling you was true.
I paid you the full asking price in cash. I didn't hassel you or give you a hard time as a buyer, and I don't understand how you think I am out of line for asking you to make things right after selling me something that was not what you said it was.
How are you going to blatanly rip me off and expect me to be OK with it, yes I am bitter, still upset about it, it isn't right.
Responsible people also do a few more things that you a falling well short of.
IMO caveat emptor, and 4 months after the fact is a good bit of time... how does he know you didn't lose the part and are just trying to screw him over. Not taking sides, just saying put yourself in his shoes. most places have a 90 day return policy, 4 monthis is 120 days.

Buyers should indead beware of scummy assholes that misrepresent what they are selling. hopefully everyone one this forum will never buy anything from him again.
To answer your question about how he would know if I am telling him the truth. I gave him the telephone numbers and contact names of the persons working at the shop that was doing the install(they informed me of the situation) and to the manufature of the parts so he could verify my information. I was completly forth coming with him and very willing to comprimise. I didn't throw a fit and act like a fool. Unfortunatly this was not recipricated and all I got in return were lies and defencive posturing.
I have been in his shoes as a seller, and never dreamed of acting anywhere near what he has acted like. I made things right if someone I sold something to was not happy with it. I never assumed he intended to rip me off, I very much expected him to be as supprised by this as I was. This is his mistake, he sold imcompatable products that he said were compatable.
It is easy for you to simply say "buyer beware", but howabout seller don't be an asshat, and handle your shit.

1 1/2 years ago i purchased the Tec3r & all the accessories from dragging240s for $1500 I had planed on using it until i ended up deciding on using stock coil packs and the Aem would be alot easier..
After having it posted bmwworld.com , Electromotiveforums.com, Audi-forums.com for 6months.. < where i did have it posted with all part numbers and pictures of boxes as a last resort i threw it on Ma240sx.net as a last effort. I had no idea any parts where wrong. You still got a hell of a deal i think.
I paid 1500 you paid 1100
