Ok guys I have a KA and this past week my cars been doing some weird shit. Monday while driving at like 40 mph my car just dies I thought I was done but it cranked, but yet no start. Basically I waited literally a minute and it turns back up. Start driving again and the same thing happend but yet again it starts back up after a minute, it drove fine after that. It did the same thing again yesterday, but then today while i was stopped at a red light it just cuts off. I had to wait like 5 minutes cuz it just wouldnt start, but it started back up.
Could it be my ECU going bad, MAF, or fuel issue/fuel pump?
That shit was happening to me dude. Remember on 495 on the way back from the CPT meet? I happened every once in a while tho. Eventually my engine blew the next day. lol I think it could be a fuel problem.
anyone had this happend?!? it happend today again, could it be a bad injector? I;m just throwing shit out there cuz I cant figure out the problem.
could be your fuel pump i had some similar problem recently cause of one of the wires that leads to ecu was loose, you might wanna check that. next time your car switches off play with those wires and see if it starts back up and also next time it happens just turn off your car and put back to ON without starting it and see if the fuel pump turns on
thanks ill try that, thanks for the help
Definitely sounds like the fuel pump. I was having the same problems with my first KA-T. The motor ended up blowing a few days later before I had a chance to change the fuel pump. So I wouldn't recommend driving it until you get it changed lol.
like you'd be driving or stopped at a light and boom dies and doesnt start? or you'll b on the interstate and it bogs down but goes back to normal? I just wanna make sure
It would die sometimes when I was stopped and other times when I was just cruising it would bog down and go back to normal after blipping the throttle. It always started back up though... it would just take a little while sometimes.
then yeah thats deffinetly it, I had an idea that it was the fuel pump so thanks alot
