The purpose of me starting this thread is to hopefully get a good color thread going. Any pictures, color codes, or general chat of our types of cars with good color choice. Something that grabs attention but not stared at everywhere you go.
Other types of cars can be be posted if you cant find it on a 240. But IMO it will be easier to see the difference using 240's.
I know some of the other forums have threads similar, and I haven't noticed one on here. Maybe I am just failing with the search.

And my basis for wanting this thread is that I need to repaint my car. And have been confused on what color I want. Little color cubes in a color book dont always help a lot.

My ideas are the original Midnight Purple offered in japan.
Or lexus has Desert Sage Metallic that looks good.

(Couldnt find it on a 240 yet)

And another color is lexus's Deep Sea Mica.

Or even take a Robins Egg Blue and make it a little brighter. I have a similar color on a coupe when i get back to my home comp.
One of the rarest colors for the 240, made only on the coupe. ----Lavender frost metallic

Paint code- LG1

I found it perfect and easily readable on another forum, idk why it's not working here. I know there's another graph like that on some 240 forum that wayyyyyy cleaner and readable than that.
We recently painted Amtrk240's car in Chrysler Dodge Viper Red. It's definately an attention grabber! Below are some of the photos while the car was being wet sanded and buffed.

And that purple on the coupe is interesting...but a little weak on the amount of purple. though im sure the paint is old. And the other desert sage metallic with kit on it isnt quite the right shade. close, so you only get a puff of the cigar.
