whats the difference in the gearing in a auto diff vs manual diff?
i would immagine that the diff on a automatic would have a different ratio compared to a diff on a manual
I need more information on this. What car?
This information can be found in either the owner's manual or the factory service manual.
In all USDM 240SX, the ratio is 4.083 from the factory regardless if the car was originally auto or manual.
they are all suppose to be 4.08 like kenn said. why u ask? want alittle more torque on the lower end but willing to sacrifice a few mpg on thew highway??? jei has tons of jdm 4.30's sitting on the ground.

Not for USDM S13 and S14 cars. We got all the same thing.
My Kouki has a JDM VLSD. Good to know.
JDM land is beyond me. Who knows what you have. You can count it by turning the wheels.
if you are looking for a lower (number) raito the J30 R200 VLSD has a 3.9:1
