So my SR blew on me last week and I finally got the engine out the car. It was locked up so my plan was just to rebuild it and call it a day. WRONG! I took off everything on the exhaust side of the engine and found a hole in the block. FML. Is it repairable? If not, I'm just going to part out the engine and go KA-T. I'm really dissapointed because I spent a lot of my hard earned money on that swap and now this happens.

Here are pics.

This was when I had just dropped the engine in the car. Still wasn't done.

If its not repairable, I have a bunch of aftermarket parts on it, including the OEM parts if anyone is interested.

Thanks.
....no that is not repairable. Sorry
Thanks for the quick response.
Any idea what caused it?
No idea. I was driving my car to school and all of a sudden it was knocking pretty bad. On the way home, I drove it extra slow and it just died on me in the middle of the road. But, I did have a bad fuel injector(s). If I drove the car fast, a knocking sound would come from the fuel rail. Don't know if that played a role in it.
you should be able to find a short block cheaper and faster than parting and building a KAT, unless that's just what you have your heart set on.
^Thats what I was thinking. I already put a bunch of money into it so it would be be a waste.
Stick it out and find a short block, oem rebuild if you want to play it safe
Sell me the dead SR20.

Seriously.
buy a short block. transfer stuff. repeat.
