Im in the middle of purchasing an item through private message all I need left is the sellers name and address and this pops up when I try to send him the message:
"has reached their private message quota so your message could not be sent"
Why are there quota's for private messages anyway?

i think he has to delete some of his private messages before he can recieve another one

I knew that...I guess im just pissed cause' it happened to me at the wrong time+There is no way I can really get in contact with the seller except of Pm's
you know what i dont understand either. I have deleted ALL my messages hours earlier and its still saying its full!! and I cant send nor receive anything?!
I find it to be a pain to go in and start deleting PM's to make room for more. This site would be much improved if there was not a limit of PM's in our box. I'm up around 70% full right now. I would have been maxed out long ago if I didn't spend (what seems to be) a lot of time deleting old PM's that have lost interest.

I tried pming u today.. it said the same thing..
I had the same problem I had to go through and delete everything including sent messages.

To truly delete your PMs, you have to click on the "Trash Can" link on the right menu and then delete the messages. Think of this as the "Recycle Bin" on a Windows PC, where you get a second chance in case you really wanted to keep the item.
The reason for the PM quotas is to keep the database from exponentially growing and possibly causing complications during a backup/restore.
For the time being I will not eliminate that quota, nor will I implement an auto prune feature.

Is there a function that will dump all the PM contents into a text file? It would make it easier to delete everything since I want to save some of my PMs.

Are you asking if there is an option to export PMs to a downloadable text file ?
