Hey everybody, the guy I bought my 240 from with an sr swap switched dashes so the dash vin doesn't match the registration. The vin plate in the door matches, just not the dash. So, does anyone know an inspector that is fairly lax on this subject, and the fact that sr's don't have egr valves and mine doesn't have a charcoal canister? Or, better yet, does anyone know of an inspector that will hook up another car for $50 and call it a day? Thanks.
Joe
To be honest with you i doubt VA inspectors are gonna take $50 and call it a day anymore. Its just not worth it. Think its against forum rules too. Haven't owned a 240 in a long time and haven't been here for a long time but i think that was the case awhile ago.
So they're not as corrupt as my previous experience with Chicago emissions people then. Damn. Without any unnecessary flaming, does anyone have any constructive ideas? I'm working on getting the dash vin squared away, trying to keep from shelling out another $150 for a vin inspector to come out, but that's neither here nor there.
