Hey guys, I live in Frederick and don't really know what kind of meets they have around here. I'm also looking for mechanics classes if there are any available that you know of. Thanks in advance!
I live in Hagerstown. I don't know of any mechanics classes, or meets for that matter around here. All the 240sx guys in Hagerstown are like the only friends I have up here. Let me know if you want to come up and hang out with us all sometime.
Hell, sounds good to me. I need to get a new 240, though, or you'll probably be laughing at me and my '03 Elantra. XD You guys all work on your own cars?

Oh, I'm also negotiating with a few non-operational industrial areas to see if I can't get some locals a place to practice. The old Eastalco plant looks promising, so I'll see what they say about it.
Haha, it's whatever man. We don't diss on people because of their cars. Unless it's a Honda. and yeah, we do most of the work on each of our cars. Just take it to drift nirvana, instead of trying to do it on the streets, not in your elantra obviously, but whenever you get your 240 or fix it. Do you have one at all?
Not anymore, unfortunately. My parents forced me to sell it after they bought me the Elantra for college, but nothing saying I can't get a new one now. XD It was an automatic anyway, I have yet to get my friends to teach me to drive a manual (yes, I know how pathetic that is). Basically I have three things I need to learn. First, how to drive a manual (will probably take me less than a week). Second, learn to work on my cars, and third, how to drift well. I'll need the 240 before step 2, obviously, since the Elantra doesn't really need much except maintenance work anyway. Is there any kind of regular car auction around Hagerstown?

Also, yes, Honda is made of evil and fail.

I'd like to go to DN, but isn't it a once-a-year thing? What do we do for the rest of the year?
Drift Nirvana is held once a month. Hyperfest is only once a year.

There is a regular car auction up here, but never with anything good. They only have mostly Hondas and Fords.

Get your 240 on the road for awhile before you think about drifting. Second, working on your own cars isn't hard especially if you can learn stuff decently fast and if you actually do want to work on your own stuff. Last, learning to drive manual definitely wouldn't take you a week man. I jumped in my 240 and learned within 30 minutes.

It's alright that you don't have a 240 by the way, I don't either. Haha, I just sold mine to my good friend.

I've got an 89 mazda truck to haul any parts me or my friends need to haul and a 92 sentra with a built motor. I'm probably going to sell the Sentra to get another 240 though.
Oh yeah, Do you have AOL Instant Messenger?
Oh, I know it won't take a week to LEARN, but I want to take the time to learn to do it WELL. Y'know, learning to get a feel for different cars so that I know when to drop the clutch, etc. I'm sure I can figure out enough to not stall the car in a few minutes. XD I'm seriously starting to think we need to start a motor club around here, though. Seems like a lot of people would be interested.

Too bad about the auction, I thought that was a good idea. Would you recommend getting a more expensive one with mods done to it already, or a near-stock one that I can modify myself? Maybe even a shell to drop a motor and transmission in myself? I dunno.
Either one that has a blown headgasket or a blown motor or something like that, or a shell. Shell would probably be the greatest way to learn stuff since you'd be building it yourself. How old are you?
I'm eighteen, and don't really have a whole lot of money, not that I'd really mind spending what I have.
I'm 19. also don't have a lot of money, and I love spending the little bit of money that I do on cars.

I'll probably be taking my motor out of my sentra one day or night this week. Are you in highschool? and do you have texting?
