I have heard so much bull from my friend I got this from...I am trying to diagnose it in my garage and imo from just taking this vid I thought maybe timing is off or something wrong with ignition. I know it needs a tune up because it's been driven forever in shit condition.

You could always check spark plugs for spark and check fuel delivery. Worth a shot.

getting spark? getting fuel? fuel pump working? any backfires through intake mani or anything of the sort when it cranks at other times?

Like previously said, check for spark first, than fuel. Also take a quick look at the fuses.
