Is there any way to make a; put all of your current for sale parts in one thread rule.
It just seems asinine and wastful to me to make 10 different threads with only one part in less than a week.
I agree, but sometimes new posts are helpful if they have whats for sale in the title; that way instead of searching thru huge, multipage threads, you can skim the classified titles and see if theres something that you WTB.
You can edit the title at anytime, I do it all the time

Merging threads is possible, but enforcing such a rule will be difficult.

The subforum idea seems like the best solution. "Just DELETE the excessive threads and send a PM to the OP and tell them to combine/edit the other current one they have open"- That is a lot of re-occuring work for someone. Yea might seem easy to do that, but in the end it is better to do the subforums, that will PERMANENTLY fix the issue, instead of having to pm A LOT of people and go through and find each and every one of their threads that are the same. Lets be real.

I am not suggesting that you are only allowed to have one for sale thread ever, just that you souldn't post 5 thread in one week each listing one part.
Generally speaking the offenders bump all of their threads to the top at the same time, they are really not that hard to spot
I see what you're saying in regards to bumping. I would only delete duplicates and/or merge multiple threads (or posts).
I'm probably going to go with the subforum idea....just need to do some cleaning up...
